Forensiclink.org was designed to bring forensic professionals from all over the world together in one area where information, techniques, and applications could all be shared. ForensicLink.org allows someone like myself, as an evidence officer, a network and forum to ask questions of my fellow forensic professionals. We also offer real-time CHAT (text or video) between members and if you choose, you can create your own private or public social group with a group name (i.e. Latent print examiners, Forensic Nurses, or MNIAI). This is also a place to post training opportunities and employment opportunities. Post and share as much as you’d like.
Who are forensic professionals?
Police Officers, crime scene technicians, digital forensic examiners, evidence techs, forensic scientist(s), arson investigators, anthropologist(s), entomologist(s), odontologist(s), serologist(s), latent print examiners, death investigators(coroner), medical examiners, property evidence clerks, forensic psychologists, and so much more…
Why design a private social network?
As a professional in the field of forensics and as a member of the law enforcement community, I have become increasingly concerned with my personal information being sold to third parties and the sharing of my information that takes place on social websites, such as Facebook. As a result, I decided to create a secure social networking site designed specifically for forensic professionals from around the world. This network allows members to connect to other members within the forensic profession safely. While working in this field, I have recognized a lack of connection with forensic science professionals, especially those of us working in the field and collecting evidence and the scientist in the lab processing the evidence.
